As you can see, if you do not have any qualms about drinking decaf, it is most definitely the better option.

For those who do not drink coffee, tea may be the primary source of caffeine. Generally speaking, tea has less caffeine content than coffee. Eight ounces of brewed tea contains anywhere from 50 to 60 mg of caffeine. This is half as much as the same amount of brewed coffee.

If you think that coffee and tea contain a lot of caffeine, you should consider looking at the content of energy drinks. Some of them have a caffeine content of more than 200 mg per eight ounces.

Taking more than 600 mg of caffeine per day is not good for you. If you are currently consuming more than this, you should consider cutting back. Not only will it make you feel better, but it will help to ensure that you do not become addicted.
